Renewal, exfoliation & preparation

Explain the difference between a polish and an exfoliating night cream.

Why surface renewal matters

As skin matures, natural turnover tends to slow. When older surface cells linger, skin can look dull or uneven and feel rough. Exfoliation addresses surface buildup; choose the product and frequency for the client’s skin and the label directions.

Daily Micro Derm or Nitty Gritty?

Daily Micro Derm offers a finer polishing experience with diatomaceous earth. Nitty Gritty provides a more substantial face-and-body polishing experience. Match the choice to the area and the client’s tolerance. A product name is not a direction to scrub every day.

Where Boost is different

Boost Night Crème uses lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid, to help loosen the bonds holding older surface cells together. Glycerin and sodium lactate attract moisture. This brings exfoliation and hydration together in an evening cream focused on smoother, brighter-looking skin.

Build the routine thoughtfully

Cleanse, use the selected exfoliant as directed, apply treatment serum and finish with the appropriate moisturizer. Avoid making multiple exfoliating steps an automatic recommendation. Keep the client’s comfort and the product instructions central to the plan.

Why that matters

Explaining each step prevents the client from treating every texture concern with a stronger scrub. Preparation should support a comfortable routine. Do not promise that exfoliation makes every ingredient penetrate deeper.

Sun care reminder

Boost contains an AHA that may increase sun sensitivity. Use sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure during use and for a week afterwards.
