When you want to enjoy a more aggressive exfoliant, Nitty Gritty is your answer.  It isn't an easy task to formulate a very aggressive scrub that is still gentle to the skin.  We have accomplished just that by using bamboo as our exfoliant.  The bamboo gently dissolves as you cleanse with warm water.  It has smooth edges and will not tear or damage the delicate tissue of the face.

For an all-over renewal, we suggest using a dry brush prior to showering.  While the skin is still dry apply Nitty Gritty.  Then shower and remove all of the scrub.  This will leave your skin feeling silky smooth from head to toe.

Nitty Gritty is gentle enough to use daily.  We recommend use in the shower in the morning to prep your skin for your treatment serums and start your day with refreshed complexion.

If you are troubled with problem breakouts, we would suggest limiting your use of any scrub to 2-3 times per week.  Use of a scrub too frequently may cause an over stimulation of the sebaceous glands exasperating the condition.

As we age, the natural cell turnover process slows.  The result is that our bodies don't produce new skin as quickly.  Regular use of a high quality scrub like Nitty Gritty Face & Body Polish gently removes dry, dull skin and reveals fresh new skin tissue.  This process of removing the old skin helps the body rebuild with new vibrant skin.

If you suffer with milia (a small, hard, pale keratinous nodule formed on the skin, typically caused by a blocked sebaceous gland) on the back of your arms, the use of either of our scrubs, Nitty Gritty or Daily Micro Derm can be very effective at resolving the issue.  We recommend following your freshly scrubbed skin with either our Relance Body Lotion or Rescue Repair.  Both of these treatment cremes have a high concentration of lactic acid that helps reduce the build-up of milia and will also kill surface bacteria helping to reduce any additional complications.
